Eurofurence Interviews
For those going to Eurofurence,
I will be arriving in Berlin on the 18th and leaving on the 24th. I should be open for interviews shortly after I get checked in and find dinner.
I will be conducting interviews in my room at the Estrel. I don't know my room number yet, but I will post an update here when I have it.
The interview process takes roughly one hour to an hour and a half. It really depends on how much you have to say. I don't ask anything that would make anyone uncomfortable and I don't ask for personal info. Interviewees aren't named, nor are their fursonas. Interviewees are given a random number and allowed to give a preferred name, but if I think it's too easy to trace back to the interviewee I will redact it.
I'm asking questions about fursonas and experiences in the Furry community. I'm not writing anything sensational or weird. This is purely an academic study and the main project of my PhD at Aberystwyth University. The purpose of this study is simply to tell our stories in our words and apply theory to it. I've conducted this research at the local WelshFurs monthly Furmeets, Confuzzled, and most recently Anthrocon. I've never had any problems or complaints and the meet/convention staff have been very supportive at each.
If you'd like to schedule an interview before the con you can contact me here. Otherwise, just find me at Eurofurence. I'm generally pretty hard to miss.
