Equine ramblings: Political Activism for Pets
16 years ago
Let me start this off by saying: I am an animal control officer for a local city here in Texas. I have pets of my own, to include a cat, a dog and a horse. I've had guinea pigs (caveys) as a kid. I love animals...but don't get me wrong. I'm no tree-hugging retarded PITA member.
This is my opinion of the kind of hair-brained stuff that PITA would help dream up.

My political duties would be amiss if I did not provide supportive websites for this bill, but I can not find any.
At the most, I can post neutral ones and links to the actual bill.

By this journal, I am trying to inform you of what I believe to be a bad idea for government.
If you live in the United States, please help in whatever way you can to defeat this bill. Thank you.

I am still steamed a little about the bill they passed banning horse slaughterhouses (don't get me wrong about the places sounded a bit cruel but they just needed more oversight not outright banning) because without them now we have an overflow of horses in this country that are going to be either abused (ie neglected or starved) or shot anyway due to lack of space.
