August Update and 500 faves!

Figured I should do an update as the last one was exactly one month ago. I did end up taking the GRE again but didn't really score all that much higher, despite the extra studying. That math portion was still as annoying as ever. Not hard but I'm not really one for doing math at a rate of 1 minute 30 seconds a problem. In whatever case, it should have raised up enough to where it shouldn't be a problem anymore. I'm not applying anywhere prestigious so my high undergrad gpa from a well respected school and strong references should outshine any test score (especially one that almost has no bearing on grad school performance). Now it's time to put int hat applications and see what comes of it. I'm certain I'll get in but I'm more concerned with GA positions and such.
Outside of that nonsense, life is coming right along. It's been a bit more grindy lately. Nothing bad or anything, just my energy levels have been a bit lower. It's kinda hard to get out and do stuff when you are half a sleep most of the time. I think it might be some subconscious stress about getting a career started or getting back to school. Just one of those things that eats at ya a bit over time. I'm sure the energy will come back once I make some headway with that stuff.
Running's had it's highs and lows as of late. I had things moving along for a good month or so but the hot Arkansas summer kicked in, making it very difficult to train safely. Even when I was in ridiculous shape, there wasn't much I could do about near 100 degree weather with high humidity. That and I stopped a bit for GRE prep. This week, we've had a bit of a reprieve from the heat so I've taken the opportunity to get the ball rolling again. A few 4 milers and maybe a good 6 or 8 miler coming up. Just gotta get consistent again. My current goal is to get to where I can do my old college long runs. These were typically around 10 to 12 miles or so. I might incorporate some speed training in as well once I get that Aerobic base back.
On the squeak side of things I've added both Leopold (G&G leopard), Spyro, and Maxwell (my donkey). I'm still getting used to Leopold's super heavy vinyl but I do love the big guy. Riding him is great fun and he's the first big toy I can lounge on without worry (Zen has his seams to watch out for). That and he's adorable as all heck . Maxwell is certainly a big cutie. He's got thinner vinyl than most lifelikes though he does have more pinch seams (legs, mane, and head). He's a good size for riding too as he's a bit smaller than the other 72 inch equines. This also makes him a good snuggle. Spyro is spyro XD. Outside of new squeaks, I've been cuddling the heck out of Fiora and Zen. They're my go to snuggles as I love their adorable features.
Gaming wise I've been doing a couple of different things. I completed the rare Panzer Dragoon Saga a couple of weeks back and loved the atmosphere, music, and world (even if living there would be a horrible idea lol). More recently I've been going old school with pokemon Heartgold (ok, a remake of an old school game) and super mario bros 3. In fact, my apartment mate spectated the super mario bros 3 playthrough and made fun of every death XD. Finally, I've been really polishing my Smash Wii U skills. Nothing amazing but I have a pretty competent Charizard I'd say. I've certainly put a good deal of time into learning the ins and outs of his moveset. That nuetral air, super armor rock smash, and offstage game XD!
Last but not least, I'd like to thank everyone for helping me reach the milestone of 500 faves. It's always nice knowing people like one's work, even if it is just squeak photography XD. Anyhow, I hope everyone is doing well. *huggles all the watchers*
