Don't Complain About FA --- Because this will happen... LOL
10 years ago
The following was in regards to the image I posted in scraps debating the use of ads -- in a heartfelt and constructive way. I guess FA doesn't allow for freedom of expression to show that we don't like what they do. So yeah, don't complain about FA. Don't post negative things about FA. Don't do anything against FA. You will be warned and threatened with suspension or permanent expulsion.

P.S. They don't even have the decency to tell you who they are -- now FA admins pull this shit behind a no-name account? Really?

FA+

And we're now allowed to post screenshots at all -- because it will inevitably contain something against rules -- even if its only being used as a method to constructively argue against something this site is doing, and which the majority don't approve of?
Is this the same admin or administrator going around and banhammering a crapton of people lately -- the shouts on your page alone are proof that this is happening (however I won't screenshot them because that would be against site rules -- as that's why my submission was deleted. You will have to check your own shouts for that. I can't assist in that regard.
You're free to post them and link to them in your journal provided they adhere to the Code of Conduct rules which apply to any other user as well.
So, just a screenshot is against the rules, but if someone adds in a drawing of their fursona pointing out the important parts, or make a picture of their fursona holding up that very same screenshot and pointing at it, that's okay?
I know there's going to be some vague line between "original enough" and "not original enough", but as long as it's not just some quick scribble it would pass, right?

Admin comes along, deletes that, and sends strongly worded note. Two months later... Its like, wtf?
It's baffling that a simple screenshot can be taken down, but a screenshot with at least one pixel modified is totally a-okay. It's mind blowing that a mere screenshot is taken down by the 'administration', when just about 2 weeks ago, rules pertaining spamming self-portraits, mass manufactured items and photos of 'random body parts' are now completely fine (a few people in my watchlist are already taking advantage of that and it's pissing me the fuck off).
'administration' keeps saying it's okay to complain and voice our opinions - positive or negative - but I've seen a few people doing so suddenly getting an extended suspension, comments are being hidden left and right, journals deleted, etcetera.
It's a shame that FA 'administration' are more and more like politicians every day.
Hell, I'm somewhat surprised they didn't outright ban you for daring to post a screenshot! D:
But I agree with your stance on the random-ness of some forms of punishment doled out these days, when it definitely doesn't fit the "crime."
