Meta Speaks: Needing some furry friends!

Hey there!
Might as well make a journal since it's here. My journals will always either be written by me or my fursona - Risca. You'll be able to tell who is writing from the title.
I've been meaning to try and reach out in the furry community since I have only 2 friends (both online) that I know who are furries. Growing up, my usual group of friends - who are now gone - were not that accepting of furries, so I kept my mouth shut. So my connections are, well... none. Feel free to say hello! :3
Since I'm still a bit new to all of this, if there's any kind of advice, I'd love to hear it!

First I'd start off by watching tons of artists - digital artists, traditional artists, fursuit makers, etc. Favorite and comment on their works! They love it. This will also help you put your name out there a bit and people may watch you or just want to chat ^^
Upload your own works, and be sure to put lots of tags in it so people can find you! If you're still really new with art, people will be more than happy to give you good pointers and critique. You can even ask some people for tips and they might help too!
