Aah, acoustics.
That'd be why most car alarms don't go off here even when you smash the window. I've been meaning to get a ludicrously sensitive American car alarm for a while; at the moment I have one of the industry's best alarm systems fitted, recognised as such by most insurance companies. But you could park Acro's car next to mine, rev the tits off it, then blow it apart with an anti-tank round, and my alarm still wouldn't trigger. It only detects break-ins.
I had 'em on my old Volvo 740, and with a stripped interior it was LOUD. Ended up blowing out my stock speakers because of how loud the cabin was, haha.
I just got rid of my cats on my Yaris and kept a high flow resonator and muffler:
I'd love to try that.
Alarms here are a bit less, erm, sensitive, easy to upset, quick to shout off... female!
