Fire...DON'T Walk With my Family Please

My sister received some pics from a neighbor of theirs that volunterly stayed and if nothing has changed since we heard the fire in the community has been contained, their house should still be standing. Good vibes work dammit and keep my families luck that way.
My sister, bro-in-law, and niece will be staying with us for at least two days unless they hear otherwise. Now hoping they can stop the bigger fire still going. Dammit Fall, bring the fucking rains already. I'm willing to deal with getting wet if means stopping these fires and putting a dent on this drought.

A fire in Lake County started in the afternoon yesterday (Sept 12). It spread so fast and got so bad that the town my Sister and her husband and my niece live was forced to evacuate. They're safe and staying with me and our parents for now...but the ongoing newsreports haven't been positive. Very little containment has been made since the fire started, and last I heard from last night was that the fire reached a Shell Gas Station that's near the fork in the road that lead to my sister's last house in the same community area. We fear the house has gone up in flames by now u___u
I'm relieved that my sister, bro-in-law, and niece are fine. But WHY is this happening? I thought I had a bit more faith in our fire fighting officials...or at least in the Natl guard or whoever controls the water/sand dumping planes. Are we really that screwed on support? on resources to fight these fires? The fire has been raging for over 20 hours and nothing has been (or very little has been) contained???
Anyways; despite me being inactive around here already, I might be even more so for a while depending on how long my sister and niece are staying. I just...I don't know how to really react to all this right now.

I do wish you and your family safe and that something gets done to contain it faster, however all we can do right now is wait and watch ):
Though can't say for the bigger fires still raging, I'm hearing the one threatening my sister's town has finally been contained and that someone she knows took pics of their neighborhood and it looks mostly untouched. Good signs for us, though I still wish everyone else that lives in that town better days.
Until then; they are staying safe at my parents place. Just kind of a living nightmare right now anxious to get full official feedback.
