So I have been trying to figure things out, but I would like some opinions. So I was on a forum talking about how to get into the furry side of things, and I refereed to this anthropomorphic gathering as a "furry fandom". To which I was told to not refer to this community as that. I understand that it is not technically a fandom because it is not based off of a series or other like material. However when I asked what to refer to it as I was never given an answer. I have tried to use the term "furry community" is this the best way to describe it? Are there other ways to describe this gathering of like minded individuals focusing on anthropomorphic characters?
