essays + food problems
oh look another journal where I complain about my life B ) its been mild for the most part but this week is going downhill rapidly so
one essay down out of the 13000 words due this semester! Unfortunately there was an essay due before that one and I totally forgot about it and now it's late, so I have to work on that one, and then there's another due in two weeks (which will be a week by the time i get the forgotten one out of the way) and the last one due probably a week after that
on top of that, there's an art convention in 10 days which I haven't finished doing art for, and then over ALL of that,
I've got about 5 weeks worth of rent left and I therefore want to open commissions again but there's no time to work on them along with everything else
which sucks because I want to buy a large amount of food. i'm currently low energy despite adequate sleep, my sleep schedule is currently whacked enough that I'm sleeping at ~2-5pm until midnight so when I wake up it's quiet time and I can't cook, my hands and arms are super shaky & just feel like useless noodles
i just want to eat a massive amount of fruit + veg and cereal and yoghurt and stuff to see if thatll pick me back up (id kill for a lasagna. havent had one in about a year) but i cant afford decent stuff on my current budget
if I opened for long turnaround commissions would anyone want to take me up on that? ETA would be mid/late october.
ill put up an image submission because journals are silly to ask things like this but
yeah

How much does lasagna cost anyway?
oh man I've never done Overload before and I dunno if I'll do it again because STUFF TO DO but next year im not studying so it's w/e
lasagna is like .. $8-10 for mince, $3-ish for the pasta and then pasta sauce and milk and flour so idek but 500g of mince makes a hell of a lot of lasagna so it's a good time
I did overload once like a few years back? It might have been 2013 I honestly don't remember that time period very well, but what I DO remember from it is that a lot of people expect prints for cheap and I was selling A3s for like $5 a pop until partway through the day when I gave up and just started asking for pay by donation. Other artists love to do merch trades though! And I remember most people end up giving away their extra prints by the end of the day so its a good opportunity to score things if you're still floating around by like 5 or whenever :'D But I came in nowhere near prepared and had like only 5 different prints, 3 of which were originals, so I'm not surprised I didn't do so great. You'll be fine, I'm sure though! Your stuff is def high quality so if people aren't falling over it I'm honestly going to be surprised.
Aaah that doesn't sound too bad! If you're comfortable passing your paypal or bank number at me, I'd be happy to wire you some money for lasagna tho like. Food is important and lasagna for days sounds like a worthy cause while you're trying to scrape essays together.
Eating good food is important XD and damn that's a big workload.
Hope your schedule gets better and a bit less crazy!
