Welp, I was about to say something but you already did. I was about to said that to be a good artist is not easy. However I also wanted to say to the persone who make some request (half-shame on me cause I do for some artists I like when I'm not the artist but it's because I have the feeling to see some part of their feelings or of their personnallity trought their art). The life of an artist, even more a popular artist, is not easy at all. It take a lot of time to try to answer to everybody. I am not an artist and I have trouble to speak to everyfurs I see as friends cause I have too much. So I'll have a little simulation here. Think that you have 500 furfriends you know and you added on fb, skype or whatever. Try to see how many time you'll be able to speak to all of them in one day with their answer by searching them if you don't remember them . It will spend more than a day and you'll surelly forget some or just don't have the time to speak to some. Now, just think that insteed of a normal fur you made drawings and you're known for your draws and everybody wanna be your friend and want an art by you. If you accept everybody it will be an endless wave of friends and that will never stop and you will always have request of art and never have the time to make everything. That's how they live this. That's why they don't answer to everybody. But I swear, I wanna meet a lot of good artists here on FA and really be their friend. I don't looks like but I always dreamed to draw like you but even if I pratice I'm stuck and need some helps to draw better. So I search someone I would be able to meet irl and easily that can help me to draw better. Cause here's how I learn the best. (I copy/paste the post I did on the original journal cause it's the same for every artists who share this message)

yeah pretty much dead on, people wanna be friends with people they admire.
I'm the same, it's all in how you handle the fact that not everyone will be your best friend or will even give you the time of day.

REgardless of how hard you try, sometimes that other person just doesn't have the energy, or the mindset, or the patience.

I'd love to meet some of my idols in real life but i barely scrape up enough rent every month, there's no way i'd be able to afford a convention xD so i just sort of deal with it and keep at my own work. maybe one day, maybe not.

and learning from artists is fine, just so long as you don't expect them to be able to answer all your questions really fast or at all. some people will make time to help you with your art but it's not recommended to go to them for every tiny detail, watch them in streams and learn from watching them work. If they respond to questions awesome! if not, don't take it personally xD

but yea, nothing wrong with wanting to learn from them at all! :>
