October is really, really important to me! I'm not particularly spiritual anymore, but this is the month I celebrate costuming, death, magic, and spooky monsters- all important things to me. I have quite a hoard of animal skulls, pelts, and taxidermy (any militant vegan who would walk into my room would probably scream and/or faint, it would be a horror show to them) and have a close connection to death in general, so there's especially an emphasis on appreciating life and giving understanding and respect to the process of death for me

This year I'm probably going to be handing out candy to trick or treaters for the first time ever. I'm ridiculously excited about it. Neither of my costumes will be ready in time for trick or treat night but I will definitely be dressing up to hand out candy next year. I actually bought one of those cheap plastic cauldrons people like to plant flowers in and will be editing it to look more realistic so I can use it as a trick or treat dish!
