Also, Allester writes some good stuff, Malaka's mind is in the gutter, and Era, well, that goes without saying lol. Myr helped me get my secondary hard drive to work and now, I can save most of my work this time. This new compy is gonna be soo pimp, you'll see.

As for singularity making devices, they're already making one of those, with the new--largest--particle accelerator they can create controlled micro-singularities, making way for long-sought answers to questions of the workings in physics.
As for ultra-thin plasma TVs... they have a new LCD that uses LEDS to fix the contrasts faults therein it, however it's only used in costly medical displayes at ze moment, however in a few years...
And Rail Guns do exists, they are just too large for application. As do holograms, only they aren't as refined as they are in them sci-fi shows.
As for laser rifles, they can make deadly lasers right now, however they take up several busses of space... then again... how large were the first computers?
I sees a large number of robot/mech/etc. stuffs... hmm... not a whole lot I can say either then they're making large leaps in the area. And they've developed the first--albeit very rudimentary--cloaking system. It bends microwaves around an object, it'll still be some time before they can do that with the whole spectrum of light.

People sometimes don't understand how close the future really is, but a lot of it is experimental and usually what the average guy gets is what large corperations hack out, that's why everyone says what you just buy is actually already obsolete.
