im torn.. i normally agree with you but... companies like Sony and Mocrosoft making game consols is why Sega stopped!

I think Sega mainly fell due to the less than stellar sales and reception of both the Sega CD and 32x add ons, not to mention when the Saturn came out it was far outpaced by the PlayStation from the start.

I will say this though, the Dreamcast was a very good system in of itself.

Yeah i'm the opposite, i've played video games for as long as i can remember. Since i was maybe 3 or 4 years old. I remember playing on the PlayStation with my dad a lot, mainly because he played a lot more games back then.

Well, Alpha Omega Sin posted a video simultaneously celebrating PS1 & Dreamcast earlier this month.

Also in regards of Sega, they should have just released the Neptune instead of the add-ons to the Genesis.

I was 9 when PS1 came out. I believe I got mine on my tenth birthday.
I started playing NES when I was 3-4 years old.

Oh yeah, i forgot that the Dreamcast was also released this month. It's been sixteen years since the DC was released over here.

I agree, the Sega CD and Sega 32x were pretty much ill fated attempts to life support the Genesis just a little longer. That was while the Sega Saturn was still in development.

My dad got ours when i was just a year old, though i remember playing it with him a lot when i was about 3 or so as well. Hard to believe that it's been 20 years already!!!

Yeah, I personally never owned a DC, but I think it got a bad rap.
I've heard it was a pretty good console. (It taking THAT long for the AVGN to do an episode featuring a DC game, which, let's face it, was made as a tribute to Nemoy, not because the game sucked)

Yeah, precisely how James Rolfe said, "Life Support", it should have just been the Neptune instead. I believe I heard it was a stand-alone 32X machine that was supposed to come out before the Saturn.
