Pretty cool info on the villains for Dr. Who, Daleks were one of my favorites as well, closely followed by the Cyber-men. Tom Baker, or as we use to call him Teeth and Curls was my favorite of the doctors back when I was watching him, lots of good stuff at the time.

Hey Gator! Yeah, Tom Baker was my first "Dr" too. I guess we're pretty old eh? It was the best Sci Fi on at the time and I used to watch it after school every day that it was on. Yeah, Cyber men and Daleks rule!

Are the Vashta Nerada included? They're my favourite "villainous" monster, for purely sentimental reasons; that one episode was my first taste of Doctor Who— I remember loving every minute; and now I'm a bona fide Whovian! Still, pretty neat find.

Yes the Vashta are there circa 2008. Once a "Whovian" always a whovian. The Dr spans many generations. I'm glad you liked my find. :)

Hands down, the Master.

Not the coked-up tennant version or the "Murderously affectionate" current version, but the classic Roger Delgado\Anthony Ainley versions. A refined gentleman, who'll take brandy with you, then tell you how much he'll miss you when you're dead, then challege you to a fencing duel. And later, the vey picture the cackling evil genius.

And of course the Skeletor version...a master manipulator. The villian in the shadows.

They had style. They had sophistiation. They had plots that usually sortof made sense.

Hey Goatness. I'll have to check that villain out! I've not heard of him before. He sounds wicked. Of course I still love the cold logic of the Daleks ...an old favorite of mine from back in the day. :)

I've always been a Doctor Who nerd. I only hooked onto the show as it was about to disappear off the airwaves, back in 1988 when I was five, but there were a LOT of VHS releases and novelisations to tide me over, and I went hardcore on it. I was always a Cyberman obsessive, even though I realise now that they got saddled with a lot of hokey stories

Kind of weird that list has both the Sensorites and the Ood (who are basically the Sensorites again), considering neither is actually a villain race. They should've gone with the Voord if you ask me. Or even better, the White Robots from the Land Of Fiction

Woot! I always love your take on Sci Fi and the media. I would love to think of the Cybermen in such a way too. Quite sexy.

Tomb of the Cybermen and The Invasion are still very watchable and badass.

Honestly, I love Tomb but I rewatched it not so long ago and it desperately needs to lose an episode (I mean in terms of pacing, not in terms of the BBC making poor choices). My childhood memory, as I suspect is true of a lot of the kids who first saw it go out, was always focused on the tremendous image of the cybermen breaking out of the tombs. After that they spend a silly amount of episodes 3 and 4 doing things like performing routine cybermat maintenance, and going back into the tombs
