I've known better,
I just can't escape their words,
sharp tongues and clenched teeth,
they speak of death,
speak of so many things,
if you knew my demons,
if you knew the monster in me,
I guarantee you I won't calm the raging tides.
I've done it so many times that I've lost myself in the vast oceans of blood.
