Switching over!
Have been a lurker for a few years here, though have only had an account for a year or so. Originally was known as Staar, but decided to focus more on my Grevy's Zebra fursona, Scotty Stripes.
Staar is my Kirin/Capra hybrid, and still holds a special part in my life, but she won't be coming to life anytime soon. Scotty, on the other hand, is taking shape as I type this in the form of artwork and a head commission and ideally, my 5-year goal with him is to have a full suit finished by 2020. That's quite a ways out, but finances are tight and he'll be taking shape slowly. Unless of course I win the lottery before then. ;)
The reason for the switch:
Staar has always been my more quiet and shy side. I rarely speak in public, though I never shut up online when I am typing. I can express myself much better through text than I ever can with my voice. Staar's disposition was more timid and unsure, she was untrusting and very much a loner. She is, and always will be, me at my core.
Scotty is my slightly more innocent side. His disposition is of a childlike innocence, curiosity and playfulness. He took shape as a zebra since I've always been more of a "black and white" type of person. I see the good, and I see the bad... but I have a hard time seeing the middle ground.
