sai + photoshop lag with tablet ??

because i am impatient and can't wait until next week for my friend to take
a look at my laptop i am turning to the internet lol
my friend gave me one of his unused laptops last week and it works really well and all
but whenever i go to draw in photoshop or sai with my tablet, after a few seconds the
cursor starts to lag a ton, eventually to the point where it will just stop moving
it works fine with the trackpad, and my tablet doesn't lag in any other program on here
just ps + sai
i tried every tutorial i could find on the internet and tried reinstalling the drivers
but it's still lagging ;0;
does anyone have any idea what it could be ?? i would be forever grateful if u
could help q_q
For photoshop, it was tricky to find but that little button with the tablet pet and the target symbol underneath, I have to have that selected so my pen doesn't lag. (Click brush, 2nd toolbar down, last button).
