Anyone out there good with PCs?

I am in need of a little assistance...
A few days ago, I was playing Harry's Mod through Steam, and all worked fine up until it stopped working. So, at first, I figured GMod had simply crashed, but I tried Control-Alt-Delete, and that didn't work.
Suddenly, the monitor (which is a TV) goes black, and it says no signal. So, I took out the HDMI cable and out it back in, nothing. Our the cable in a different input, nothing. Then, I removed it from the computer and out it back in, it started up. However, it had a light red overlay on everything. From the "start windows normally?" Screen to the "starting windows" screen. Then, it just went away.
It worked over the weekend just fine until today, when I turned it back on. This time, it said nothing, just no signal. Tried removing the cable again, and nothing. Now, I have it unplugged because I'm not too sure how to continue. Anyone have any suggestions? ://
