Sheesh, I really need to update this stuff. I keep getting notes from people asking if I'm still alive, or if I've left the fandom and stuff >~>
Eh, whatever. I'm still here, guys! And guess what? I'm old ass shit. I just got around to doing some digital housekeeping lately, and found, of all things, an ancient backup folder for an F-drive I used for school back in 2011. It had on it one of the very first halfway decent stories I ever wrote, which I'd figured to have been looooong lost, a weird little transformation story that I never got around to finishing. It involved a particularly hard week for Spike, getting run ragged by Twilight and her friends with chores, then eventually getting caught up in racial indignation, and, with the addition of an enchanted tome, turning the whole cast into little dragons as well.
Kind of a lame premise, but at least it wasn't "Oh-noes! Twilight messed up a spell...!" Which, if you read any FIMfiction, you'll know is easily the biggest cliche in that niche there is.
Reading it again now, though? It's become a marker of how far I've come as a writer in a comparatively short period of time. Before I started posting on FA in 2013, I had only ever written one post-worthy story, and that was another lame little Borderlands 2 fanfic that you can still find as my first ever halfway decent submission, all the way back in 2012. But this predates that by almost a year, anything earlier than that was so broken and derivative that I cringe at the thought of reading it again, let alone posting it.
Which brings me to my quandary. I kind of want to upload it, maybe even do one of those "Past-to-present" things, showing how I've improved over time. That's not as easy with writing as it is with visual art, for example, but with something this old the difference is pretty stark. Heck, I might even rewrite it entirely in my modern prose style, upload them back to back as a more literal example. I've kind of fallen out of the whole MLP fanbase in the past few years, but the idea still has appeal to me.
What do you think? I look forward to your thoughts :)

Or Twilight messes up a spell and kinky stuff happened. xD
And maybe you could finish it? Before and After. The beginning and the end. Old and New. xp
