The always-insightful YouTube channel, PBS Idea Channel, just posted a video about how people can relate to images, and talking about the figurative and literal representations of oneself. In the discussion, the host brought up furries as an example of how a figurative media representation could be a more accurate (or enjoyable) representation of oneself. It was quite interesting to watch, and very well done. Even the comment section (as of now, at least) seems to be discussing it insightfulness and a surprising lack of vitriol.
