Hulu recently started advertising a "Commercial Free" subscription, but it costs a little more than their regular Hulu Plus subscription.

I would say Netflix.

Hulu has up-to-date stuff, but lacks in good content now that HBO and stuff pulled their items to go with their own "On Demand" services. Plus...even though you pay for Hulu, you STILL get ads.

Netflix doesn't exactly have up to date stuff, but they DO have original series, like Orange Is The New Black (epic show).


Plus...you can torrent or watch most anything online anyways.

Like I said - there isn't really any of their original stuff that catches my eye. Daredevil. That's about it. So it's a non-factor. So are ads, really, especially if the service is cheaper for it. Again - I'm from an age where you had to sit through commercials to get to the good parts. I've lately weened myself of that, but it's not something that ever bothered me. BUT, I see it as a bullet point, at least.


And as far as torrenting - yah. Maybe when I move, and can find a better hiding site. AT&T is a little wise to me and my past and have already sent multiple warnings about piracy and stuff. But that was mostly for music. I think, as far as tv shows go, I'm kinda more interested in, ya know, coming home, turning a big tv on in the main family room, kickin' off my shoes and catching up with the stuff I like... as opposed to hunching over my computer till 1 am. ... I do that enough with video games.

If you combine a video down loader like VideoDownloadHelper or http://en.savefrom.net/ with http://www.watchcartoononline.com you could potentially gather a bunch of cartoons at once and then watch them on a TV.

Yup. That seems to be the general consensus. 'I love netflick! but there's jackshit of what you want on it! :D' which almost makes me think I'm better off not getting a service at all.

If you have to choose I'd say Netflix. But both sites have good and bad. Netflix often loses it's licenses so you could be halfway through watching a series or show and then suddenly it's gone and you are screwed. Hulu tends to hold it's subscriptions but it's only the last 2 seasons so you can't start there. And as people have said, their basic sub still has adds. Even though you are paying money, you have to pay more to remove all the adds.

General consensus with Netflix.
I don't know much of everything with Hulu Premium, but I think their anime selection is better than Netflix's?
Not sure, but with Netflix you can opt for DvDs still. Archaic, but there's some decent stuff you can't stream.
I hear Amazon Instant isn't too bad, but you of course need Prime, I think.

There are also...other ways of keeping up with shows like SU, AT and TMNT.

Steven Universe, Adventure Time, TMNT are all easy to find on the internet for free like watchcartoons.com online. i hear neflix is decent but they rotate thier content a lot and sometime they pull down shows. hulu is alright at 7.99$ a month but sometime they dont always have what you want and they still show commercials and ads. you have no idea how annoying it gets till you try to binge watch something or even skip ahead through a video. But if you have the cash you can pay 12$ a month for a non commercials sub.

if youre just looking for anime, again id personally just turn to the interwebs for that, or crunchyroll.

Only thing I know about Hulu is they offer a wider selection of classic _Doctor Who_ episodes. But on the subject of Netflix exclusives, Marvel is also going to be making series out of Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and season 2 of Daredevil featuring the Punisher. And eventually they're going to do a Defenders miniseries in which all the heroes come together like in Avengers.

Neither because television is horrible? I dunno.
