To all you fellow rebels and friends out there,
I just wanted to take a moment and give an update as to what's going on, for anyone who is curious. I promise I haven't died (sorry to disappoint people) and I haven't gone back to being dormant. There will be new artwork flowing again and the party will continue as planned, however slow that may be. It will just take a little bit to get back into it as I continue to work through this setback.
I have been sick for the past, month. Very sick. It started because of a continuing water problem in my car, Glados. You see, a little over a month ago I noticed that anytime it rained I would suddenly have water flooding into the driver side floor. It got so bad that when I would go to step into my car after a storm my carpet would literally splash as if I was standing in a puddle. This wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if it wasn't coupled with the Florida summer heat. I became increasingly sick after this discovery and it wasn't under about two weeks ago that I finally became bad enough that I had to visit the doctor and find the cause. I had/possibly still have bacteria growing in my lungs, and I almost ended up with pneumonia. The heat caused humidity to build in my car because of the wet carpet. When that happened it accelerated a growth of mold spores that spread rapidly throughout. When I went to get into my car apparently the mold spores were immediately breathed in, added with my allergies acting up and my asthma, caused a downward spiral in my health. I have been off and on being bed ridden, I become suddenly light headed, there are days where I couldn't eat, or pretty much do anything, breathing had become a problem, hot and cold flashes, the list of fun goes on. I am on heavy medication now and the doctors are hoping that it will help to reverse the growth.
Good news is that so far it is working. I am becoming a little more aware of my surroundings and I've been able to move around more without losing air. I'm still suffering from wheezing and coughing but it isn't nearly as bad as it was before, so things are improving (which is why I was able to get back online to write this). The only issue is that now I'm having an issue where every time I sneeze, no matter in what way I sneeze, it is sending painful electric feeling volts through every part of my body that has a nerve issue... the main being my wrists. This is making it difficult for me to do my drawings as when the volts hit it causes my whole hand to freeze up until it stops. And of course I can't sneeze just one time..
This being said, I know I promised to open my commissions the 21st... of last month (I'm sorry!!) but I will be forced to delay the opening until further notice. As for everyone I promised gift art to (
,
, and
) I will be forced to delay on your part as well until my condition improves. I am extremely sorry for this and hope for your patience.
I appreciate everyone's patience while I deal with these medical complications and I will keep everyone up to date on my health as it improves.
Much love,
Blink
