Why I Haven't Been On Skype And Other Messengers And Stuff
10 years ago
If you go on Tumblr, Twitter, news sites or anything like that, and see a lot of shit about Charleston flooding to all hell...that's the reason. I had to be very quickly moved out of there and to my parents' farmhouse on Johns Island, and if Mom didn't rescue me when she did and just barely get out of the city before some real damage was done, I don't know if I'd still be here, let alone in proper storm-resistant shelter.
...well, semi-proper. It's an old ass house. Been here since cowboy times.
But, I have been completely safe, fed, and protected for 4 days now, today's going to be the 5th, Mom is already seeing when she can get me home and if the conditions near my apartment are safe enough, and I JUST got internet in time so I could tell you guys to begin with. Friends, if you are reading this, I have not been able to tell you shit about where I've been because the weather has literally been so bad, I couldn't get on the internet. And that's because AT&T IS A BUNCH OF FUCKING DICKLESS ASSWIPES WHO WON'T LAY DOWN FIBER OPTICS ON A DIRT ROAD!!!
...
So anyway, that means I have satellite internet, it is easily interrupted by weather, it's not nearly as fast as I'd like it to be, and I think my mom's laptop has a severe problem trying to launch Chrome, because I had to wait like 5 full minutes for it to friggin start. Either way, it could be a whole lot worse, but I and the rest of South Carolina is nearing the end of the terrible flooding, and we'll be backed up for a good while. But roads are starting to open up, and I'm willing to bet there's even power in most places now. So we're already trying to rebuild, and everything is going to be okay.
So let me close with this. I fucking hate. Bloodmoons. And I don't care about lunar eclipses. God can shove them up his ass and so can you.
PS: My prayers go out to those affected by the flood. I hope at least most everyone is safe.
