Off to another adventure!

Words from a nomadic drifter
Yup, I got the job in Oregon! I'll be a research assistant with one of the universities over there for a few months trapping small mammals. I start Monday and my adventure back to Oregon starts tomorrow after work. A very long drive ahead. :,D
I'll be sparse on FA for a while since the first station I'm reporting has no cell service (except if you drive to the top of one mountain) and no internet. The small mammals team will be stationed there for a month then we're moving on to another location that is way more populated. Tomorrow if I get to the first stopping point at a decent hour I'll post some art that I've been meaning to post for sometime.
Anyone got any suggestions for music? Always interested in hearing different things so feel free to share some of your favorite music!
Hope you all have a great weekend.^^

Also for songs....are you familiar with "above and beyond"? It's more of a Trance group. They're really good :D
I have not heard of "above and beyond "! I'll look them up tonight to add to my playlist. Trance would be real good driving music, especially at night! Thanks for the suggestion. :)
When I was road-tripping across Canada and had gone through all my usual stuff I found myself enjoying some stuff from 30 Seconds to Mars, The Piano Guys, Lindsey Sterling, Florence and the Machines, and for some reason this single DJ mix from another con.
My all-time favourite music performance is Studio Ghibli's 25th Anniversary Concert, two thousand musicians over two solid hours!
If you need to grab MP3s off youtube videos, this site works fabulously. Just remember to uncheck the bundled download the first time and it won't ask you again.
And, not music, but when driving long distance or just sitting beyond the internet for a long time alone with no books, I also mass-download and listen to Radiolab for cool science!
Bon voyage, have a great time! :)
Thanks for all the links and suggestions! I actually have a mix CD of piano guys and one of Lindsey sterlings CDs in my car. So much fun to listen too. I've forgotten about Florence and the Machines, thank you for suggesting that!
Oh my goodness, Studio Ghibli's movie sound tracks are some of my favorite orchestral pieces. The sound track (and movie) Nausicaa Of the Valley of the Wind, is my top favorite of studio Ghibli. The Ghibli concert will be perfect for driving through Grand Tetons National Park. :>
You, girl, have good taste in music :p I'd love to look at your collection sometime to find new things to listen to! And aye, Studio Ghibli's master composer/conductor Joe Hisaishi is practically a demigod of film orchestra. Him and Miyazaki simply rock the world!
Driving through the Grand Tetons, that sounds amazing! I've never been there but a photograph from there was my wallpaper for the longest time. Shame you have a deadline and can't stop to hike a few trails... oh well I guess there'll be lots of it in the equally gorgeous pacific northwest! If two hours and you're still not out of the park, the Skyrim soundtrack is splendid atmosphere for the majestic mountains! And I'd also be honestly upset if you don't yet have the HTTYD soundtracks :p
How's the move going?
