Strike three, yerrrrrrr out! (AKA: another hospital visit)
Who will save me from low doorposts? So, today I've finally gotten home from a short week stay in a hospital.
The pain that I described last Monday came back on Tuesday and in the even it got SO bad I reluctantly called 112. So the ambulance crew gave me an IV, a painkiller against the sharp pain, a drug that takes the sick feeling away and a shot of morphine to top it all off. I felt like I had drank a sixpack within 10 seconds. They loaded me into the ambulance and took me to the hospital I was the day before.
In the hospital they did some more tests, a poke here and there, then told me I had to stay. Fine with me.
Over the course of 3 days I've had an echo, an MRI scan and finally an operation done. The latter involved shoving a 1 centimeter thick tube down my throat. I'll spare you the rest of the details. The echo showed a lot of stones in the gal bladder, the MRI showed what looked like a stone in the drain of the gal bladder.
I've had two days where water and food were off-limits, which can make a boy quite cranky, ESPECIALLY when the food cart comes by around diner time. Everyone was munching except me. A little complaint from my side and a phone call from a nurse later and I got some table scraps, but they tasted GOOD.
So today the IV finally got removed and I got released. I still got a bit of a sore throat and my left hand feels numb from that stupid drip.
By the way, an MRI scan is bloody noisy!
P.S. No deepthroat jokes please, laughing still hurts a bit as my stomach is still sore for some reason...
