How was Coachella?
i'll write a journal about it (among other things) soon.
had a fun time at coachella sunday, felt tired all monday :P
For me, my mind goes into some visual autopilot and displays a series of random moving and repeating images, patterns and shapes. It can be quite lucid in a dark room. Oh man, I can already recall that oh-so familiar pine-cone-in-the-mind sensation. (You'll see what I'm talking about.)
I've had my last episode during Thanksgiving Break, I felt my skin turn into a bunch of number 7's and everything felt like bug feathers. I was rambling weird shit like, 'chovel', 'clownaxel' and 'astro witch'. This may sound like ludacris garbage, but there is no way to articulate these SUPREMELY bizarre thoughts and sensations. No movie depiction can do it justice. It's like trying to describe the color blue to a blind man. I like to call it: Planet Ché-Ché.
Others feel an intense feeling of dislocation, sometimes to the point of intense panic and despair. These episodes usually make the user convinced that it's the end of the world. I've heard some crazy stories and I've seen quite a few people wig the fuck out. I'm thankful I've never experienced anything like that.
Have fun with that shit! Remember, it only works once a day. You'll have to recharge before you can salviate again.
I describe it like this...
Think back to what it's like to dream. You're aware of yourself and your being, but you're in completely foreign or even illogical environments. Yet in the dream, those places and situations are reality and you respond to them as such. That's what a salvia trip is like. It manifests new, illogical realities, but you're still actively responding to them as though they're real and tangible.
The repetition you describe I experienced heavily once. The trip consisted me feeling like I repeated a sitting up motion, uncontrollably for a year straight. My friends would come and leave, sit with me as I went through it, and at last when the trip fizzled out 5 minutes later it FELT like the freedom you'd feel after getting out of a long jail sentence. I was furious my friends didn't comprehend the magnitude of what I had just gone through. Hehehe...time perception is a weird, weird thing to have messed with :o
very strange stuff. & i now know fully why it, as well as other similar substances, are legal... the sensations gained are simply too intense & short lived to form any sort of addiction.
i think this conversation stemmed from a misreading. i wrote sativa, as in the marijuana subspecies, not salvia.
oh well. interesting subject nonetheless :]
