LATE FURRY START

So I've been reading online, hearing on YouTube!, and such that being over 30 is "OLD" in the furry fandom.
Call it a mid-life crisis cause of my crappy year (see previous journal entry) or perhaps I have just finally found myself. I was always a late bloomer in things, didn't come out of the closet until I was 20.
Anybody else heard of this age thing?
In my own opinion, I don't think there is such a thing as "old". Not that I believe in the whole, "you're only as old as you feel" thing (and I despise the whole "I'm x years 'young'" thing), but I firmly believe you are never too old to be who you are.
Being honest about yourself WITH yourself and others takes time, not to mention being comfortable with yourself. Its taken me 20 years to finally admit that to myself and make changes in my life to start making the world I interact in the same as the world I see in my dreams or hope for.

I hope it benefits others to realize its never to late to discover who you are...or for that matter, go back to school, tell someone you care, etc.
These are things I wish i was told before I was 19. Anyway, hope your time here is a good one!
