Pfff I say post it. I enjoy seeing what you post, and personal just shows more of the person behind the art too. So It shows..ah..soul? ( Not sure thats the right saying? )
I can understand getting discouraged. I feel the same way on here when I put hours into a really nice piece, personal or non pornographic...and it gets nothing. But.. I do have a few of my watchers that really enjoy them, and for me..as for why I still post them despite this.. it's because it is an expression of me! I know it may not be much! But I've enjoyed your personal pieces when i can catch them. ( Not as often as I would like! Since my box gets over run >.< ) But when I can I love seeing them ^^
welcome to the tragic world of an artist. Something you vomited out of your stylus in 10 minutes will always get more attention than something you care about and actually poured yourself in to.
I post my personal shit anyways because its my gallery not theirs. Plus it's a great way to keep it on hand in an easy to access place so I can show it off to family and people I have tied down to a chair with tape so they can't ignore me.
Personal art (that is not kink-based) tends to rarely get a lot (or any) comments, and certainly not the same amount of views, but... that's not really the point. To draw something personal is to entertain your muse, or let the heart express itself. It's the kind of art that is "healthy" to do because its what fuels an artist. Lack of commentary doesn't mean people don't appreciate it; on FA, comments are usually only left by 5% of viewers to a kink-based image, and less than 1% for sfw type stuff. And personal stuff tends to also be subject to tastes as well which further limit views. Point is it can be statistically explained quite easily, but above all, it shouldn't matter. Even if people stay silent, the fact that folks look at it, and the fact that someone, somewhere may love what you've done is reason enough to share it with people.
Well, furries are mostly interested in porn I'm afraid. But that's no reason not to post other art here. Most of your best art doesn't happen to be porn. And I generally enjoy seeing it. So yeah.

Post it up.
If it wasn't for a similar view point my gallery would be empty since it largely goes ignored but I upload somewhat consistently anyway.
But I am the type of person who reads and appreciates every comment, even if I don't know how to reply to them all =3
