Important Skype problem

So for some reason, Skype logged me off some 2 weeks ago and did not relog back on. I was forced to relog using my MSN. This only affected my watch list... I don't know who it is now that I have added. I see people offline, and people see me as offline, until they re-add me...
Everyone who has me on Skype and sees me as offline, re-add me with the username Faeberry and tell me WHO you are when you do so, and I will re-add you.
Alternately, if you can tell me how to return to my older account, that'd save me trouble.

Have you linked your Skype account to your MSN account? when I setup my windows 8 tablet, it forced me to used MSN and I had to link my Skype account to my MSN account to keep my contacts.

If you haven't updated Skype, that is why. Since the new adware and spyware updates lately since Microsoft took it over, they have been disabling the old protocol and requiring you to update to use the service. And the new service is painfully ad-filled. It fucking interrupts your voice and video chats to play a noisy, intrusive video ad. Needless to say, I switched to Telegram.

I updated. Then I couldn't log in. That's what I mean.

Do you use any sort of firewall or adware blocker? They often get triggered by Skype now and they prevent it from running as a result.

No, I did not. I updated it, it logged me off, and I can not log in to it anymore. I am on my google account now.
