I got a hero4 a couple months back but almost never used it because I have linux and gopro studio doesn't have a linux release. The one time I tried it out I found out that there's no way to negate the fish eye lens, and the options are limited as to what framerate you can use with which resolution. Then today I tried making a tutorial video for the purpose of trying a couple linux programs (Avidemux and KDEnlive) to see if the fisheye can be edited out.
Kdenlive doesn't recognise .mp4 or .mov files, and avidemux is just super confusing to try and learn. Also the test video turned out super grainy and laggy and looked like shit. For the amount of money I payed for this (3 times what my regular camera cost) I expected a superior product. This camera is a piece of trash! I'm going to try and return it. If I can't return it I'm going to throw it into a smelting furnace, and maybe record its demise.
