So, took the laptop to the shop today. Turns out one of my RAM ports went bad, but at least it's salvageable. But it's definitely revealing this thing's age, so I'm gonna have to start saving money for a replacement. I'm sorry if I scared anyone with the last journal... I didn't think it was gonna be that easy of a fix. But I was pretty scared, myself.
