Could the theme be gore? They have blue blood, the blood is the same blue as the nose and tounge! :D
They're also a kitsine so they're eyes tend to always be closed.

Hmm, maybe blood dripping out of their mouth and guts spilling out and a little bit of the rib cage showing, with a few bleeding cuts/ bite marks. And the tail biting the arm or leg or other body part.

I don't know if that's too much or not. I Love gore art but this is my first time getting a gore commission, haha. ^^;;;
