How do they work? I'd absolutely love to commission you sometime in the future if I have the money, but I've only ever heard of bitcoin, never used it.

Yeah, while I know the movie "Dope" isn't real I kinda don't use bitcoin for that reason and also, any artist using bitcoin seems kinda like a scam. :I it's just too easy to get scammed with bitcoin

Honestly I doubt many people are going to be down with bitcoin, myself included.

i don't do bitcoin transaction, but i have heard bitcoin is intraceabel.
meaning you can use bitcoin without anyone figure it out what you paid them for.
so i can say bitccoin is somehow a safe way to pay things with, without getting in troubble for it.

I've done bitcoin when no other payment options worked (Inkbunny donation). It's a lot more work than PayPal, but if you aren't going to trade or speculate in them, the risks are limited.

I just set up a bitcoin wallet on my PC and did a domestic real money transfer to a guy on the Internet -- got the bitcoins and sent them on within half an hour. I had the realname of the guy I got them from so he wasn't going to burn me, I didn't have to trust any online wallets, and didn't have the bitcoins long enough for them to get hacked off my PC.

Certainly easier than setting up a PayPal in a fake name, if customers are that worried about sharing their real one. But personally, if I'm just buying a 'regular' NSFW commission I'll pick an artist who does Paypal.

Depends on what sort of transaction methods you have set up, in lieu of bitcoin.

Have you considered doing what Gouh has done - using Patreon for commissions? That will exclude people using Paypal, but people with CCs will be able to pay for it.

It's in consideration, yes. As a separate and definitely non-monthly page. I'm just going through my options one at a time rather than trying to offer everything at once.

I know that Gouh successful used that, although he wasn't all that happy with the results as it supposedly showed his real name to the buyers. Then again that's hardly a concern given Paypal did that all the time.

I have used bitcoin to get commissions from a few people in the past ie kennoarkkan nicoleships nightargen. I like it a lot more since it's safer for the artist and to be honest if you go through an exchange site it's basically the same as paypal but less shitty. People complain about how volatile it is too, but you can easily sell them upon receiving them on the exchange sites so it's a lot less sketchy and complicated as people make it out to be. I would definitely consider it as a nsfw artist.

It's a slow flux. Faster than a normal currency, but not as bad as it use to be and it's currently climbing in price.
