Hope your problems are fixed moreso than mine. How are you?

I got my surgery scheduled, so I feel good about that. However I am very nervous about it.

I know surgery can be daunting. The most worrisome part is what you'll be like after. I was so afraid about how my mobility was going to be affected and whether surgery was going to fix it completely when I dislocated my knee a few months back. But after surgery I'm better and I'm just waiting on the physical therapy.... Actually, come to think of it, I'm really not qualified to help since I got it for free due to the people at fault, had an easy fix of an injury, was already mobile before the tendon was reattach, and I barely feel like I experienced going under the knife...

But the important thing is, I don't want anything bad happening to you because you're too wonderful a person to be a victim of cancer. Especilally one like throat cancer which scares me that it'll tear your throat up to get rid of it.

Hope that didn't come across tactless....

it isn't throat cancer, it's thyroid cancer that may be in my throat. Of course that is splitting hairs. I'm upbeat about it, but it still scares the living fuck out of me. Sentences like "we're going to cut a slit into your trachea and stick a camera in there" is a bit unsettling.

I don't even know much about you but I feel like it's destroying something quite valuable and could permanently scar (or worse kill) a valuable treasure.
