An excellent little video about sex and fetish psychology

Check this out. This video eloquently explains some of the fundamental roots of common fetishes, which can be applied to most fetishes at their roots as well.
This kind of psychology has been a lifelong fascination of mine. I'm thrilled to have found this video, and this channel, and want to share it with all of you.

Though I don't know what I'm fearing if I'm 150% on the poop train.
On a gut level, though? This rings sooooooo true to me. When I look at the staggering, tangled web of kinks in my head, all of them can be related to my (equally staggering, equally tangled) web of anxieties. This is something I’ve noticed for a long time. The fantasies I find most appealing (both to imagine and to live out) typically involve things that embarrass or intimidate me, yet in a context where no one will actually be hurt. With ABDL, for instance, I get to be irresponsible, childish, messy, and repellant… whereas in my daily life I work my butt off to be in prudent, mature, neat, and agreeable.
Anyway, I don’t know that this explains why we have the fetishes we do. (For instance, why are there people with the same anxieties of me who have totally different kinks? Or no kinks at all?) However, I think it’s an intriguing stab at explaining how our kinks work, which (to my mind) is perhaps even more important.
Great food for thought :)
