But it seems like the universe has got a grudge against the area in which I live. Three weeks ago or so, it was fire and last couple of weeks have been flooding.

My mate and I and our two cats are all safe and sound, thankfully...we seem to be living in the eye of the mess. Last Thursday and Friday, we tried to take some guests to the state capital...only to find the main highway into Austin flooded. Seeing the aftermath of the flooding on the drive to work this week is truly disconcerting.

We still need more rain (it is Texas, we ALWAYS nred rain)...here's hoping that the next round of rain is more like what we used to get in Michigan, and less the monster version of a Texas Gully Washer.
