Instead of trying to become better than everyone, try being a better you.

Example: If I try to be better than others at art, I'm only going to hurt myself when my art comes out worse than theirs. But if I try to draw better than my previous work, it'll be alot more easy, less stressful, and best of all, it inspires me to continue.

Don't give up just because there are people better than you at certain hobbies. It just gives you a goal and in life, goals make each day interesting. But remember, its not the destination but the path you choose and the journey to get to the destination.
