Possibly Controversial Rant (?)
Before I start I would like to state that I am in no way trying to disgrace the country in question or ridicule the feelings of those who have been affected by the events that happened last Friday [Nov. 13th].
I don't usually do this sort of thing, but something got to me a little while ago. As some of you might know I play the game League of Legends from time to time. The event in question happened just today when I found myself with 3 matchmade teammates that just so happened to be from France.
The entirety of the match went quite poorly for our team. I was forced to go into top lane, a position I'm not particularly good at as I've had little to no practice there. However despite that, my lane was the only one that was winning, while the other two lanes, occupied by the three people from France that I've mentioned earlier, were not only being utterly destroyed but also kept blaming it on the jungler, who was doing a pretty decent job given the match-up, and, in addition to that, me for trying to defend the jungler.
As I would do on any other day I've typed a single "Wow... You guys suck..." into the the chat, which, considering the mentality of the LoL community, is pretty tame. So imagine my reaction, when all of a sudden these three get all defensive and say that I am not allowed to blame or berate them in any way for anything because of what happened last Friday.
Obviously enough, after the match I get reported for racism and hate speech...
Wow...
Just wow...
So apparently using other people's tragedy as an excuse for your own lack of skill and obnoxious behavior is a legit strategy now. This is genuinely disgusting to me on so many levels...
My own feelings about the event of that day notwithstanding, I don't think that the events a certain group of residents of the country went through should affect how I treat any given individual originating from that country in any way.

Well that's just bullshit. If you use a national tragedy as an excuse to be a prick and get away with it, you're scum, plain and simple. I know your pain.
