I'm back, my sweetest strawberries! ♥ Did you miss me? >//w//<
So, moving is a lot more work then I thought it would be. xD Or maybe it was just this move since we've accumulated a lot more stuff over the years.
It was also a bit of a snag in our moving plan when we found out how nasty the carpets were. =.= When we first looked at the apartment, they had just finished painting, so all we smelled was paint. But after we started moving stuff over and it got warm inside, we could smell animal really bad. x.x Like, to the point that my husband flipped out and basically said he wanted to shampoo all the carpets, EVEN after the landlord had said they had it professionally cleaned. >.> He had just started and the water in the shampooer was black and it was picking up cat hair and kitty litter, ewww. That ate up a lot of our moving time, cause we couldn't move stuff over while it was wet.
We ended up complaining to the landlord and they are replacing the carpet in our bedroom, but won't be able to replace the other carpets until they build up some funds, I dunno. Zai started ripping it up, cause the landlord made it seem like they were gonna replace it right away, but now it seems it'll just be whenever....so half of our bedroom is without carpet now, BUT the good thing with that, it's killed alot of the animal smell. So that shows you how bad the carpet was. *shudders* We've pretty much killed a majority of the smell from shampooing it again, but we have air fresheners up and have been spraying Frebreeze into the carpets to keep the odor down, which out of the few people who have come over since we moved, they haven't really smelled animal, so that's a good thing. ^^/) Yay!
The apartment isn't completely put back into place yet or I would show you guys, but once it is decent I'll take pictures so you can see Mir's new home. >w<
We did go buy new furniture, a living room set along with a new tv for the living room. We'll be getting a few more new stuff like a dresser for my hubby, end tables, lamps, and a new dining table with chairs.
But as of now, we've been slowly putting away the small stuff. I think we're to a point though that I can start putting up stuff for Christmas. Really didn't feel like December came since we were moving and I had to put all that on the backburner till we moved over. We are gonna get a new Christmas tree since our old one had seen better days and since we have a bigger place, we can have one that goes on the floor, rather than on a table. xD Which I'm excited for, I've never have a full sized tree before.
But, with that I am back and will resume working on art asap. I need to catch up a bit since I've been without internet for a bit. xD
