So I recently went to check out the new webpage for FurDU 2016 and after a quick search around i found this

This has really ticked me off, big time and I am really disappointed.
I went to FurDU 2015 while i was 16 at the time and honestly nothing bad happened and i completely enjoyed it.
But now this, what's the whole point of a " My first con" If 60% of the attendees are under 18? By the time they turned 18, they would already be a regular to fandom.

Furries are fan of Anthropomorphic animals, they can be any age so if this really is a "Furry convention". It should then be open just like all the other "Furry Conventions" Such as Confurgence and furwag.
I just find this complete bullshit. So i'm the only furry from where i'm at and i can't go and meet other furries at a convention.

Having under 18's at an event such as a con immediately means a fuck ton more paperwork, insurance rates go through the roof, every under 18 in attendance is required to have a guardian with them (legally) and it just in general makes everything harder.
The committee for FurDU this year is entirely new and the structure of the con has changed so I assume they are wanting to ease into the role.
