New Job
This a post that's been a long time coming. Last winter/spring the company I was working at was on its last legs and as a last attempt to continue to exist they ended up closing a couple thousand stores. Then selling of a bunch of the holdings, IP rights, lesser companies, ect. They also went up for sale. Being bought out is rough. There were things we sold for years and the next it's being sent back to the warehouse. Being commission based we lost a lot of income and sales. Our shipments of stock were tiny. It seemed like we didn't get one type of shipment for at least 6 weeks. Things were bad.
So I applied to for a job at the call center up where my friend works at. Several missed connections try arrange an interview I took a risk and went to my friends place for a few days to while waiting for a response from them. Before that I had to get a valid ID mine has been expired for years. As I biked passed the place I work I worked when I was in high school. My old supervisor stopped me and "offered" me my old IT job. I was back to doing some minor IT work at a small national retailer.
I also ended up getting the interview and a job offer. So I had two job offers on the table. I went with the IT job. It doesn't pay as much but I don't have to ride a bus for 2 hours a day or move. I'm not really happy with this job yet. I feel like I'm in micro management hell, but it's a stepping stone to a better job. Or maybe a rough stone that needs to be smoothed out.
