Words from a nomadic drifter
Hey everyone, what's up?
Just got done with a 2k+ mile drive back to my folks place for the winter. My field season has ended so I'm hibernating until spring when my job starts again. Oregon was so much fun and I got to see and handle so many adorable flying squirrels and other small mammals. Great experience but dang nature can be brutal.
I'll be volunteering a lot in the next three months of downtime, but I will also have some free time. Hoping to practice a lot of art techniques for improvement, work on my Arctic fursuit a bit more, and I'm hoping to start posting fursuit dance videos dancing as Arctic! I miss dancing so much, especially the folks in the dance troop I was part of, as well as dancing in drag shows. Dancing is a great way to blow off steam and be creative by expressing your emotions with your body. So that's what I'll be up too in the next few months. What are your thoughts on the dance vids yay or nay? If yay, I'd love some suggestions for music to dance too. :3
Still working on art pieces for folks. Everything should be done and posted by the end of the year. In the new year I'm planning to open up for commission and some music inspired YCHs.
Wanted to also say hello and thank you to the many new watchers I've received over the past few weeks, I really do appreciate it. <3
Hope you all have a wonderful and safe holiday season!

I miss dancing with you so much ;v; We never got to do our Gypsies Tramps and Thieves veil thing! Someday we need to team up if your job or just life brings you back in the area, and totally do that! I may not have a fursuit, but maybe I could make some fun horns and ears and we can be some cute little fluffs xD
Anyways, good luck with your plans and ideas, glad you made it to your folks' safe! And I hope you continue to be safe and healthy :>
It was so much fun dancing with you!! ;w; I miss the awkward camel move haha still remember that day in the studio haha. I still want to dance that song with you someday so badly. Most likely I'll be in SoDak again... But I did apply for a lot of jobs around the area so we'll see!
Cute fluffs we shall be! :>
You have a great rest of the year, best wishes on your finals!
Also, dance videos sound cool. I'm not sure I know any music you'd want to dance to, but I guess it depends what kind of music you like.
I'll be volunteering at a local nature center cleaning tanks of the resident local species of snakes and insects, feeding critters, and talking/interacting with the public educating them on the local wildlife they might encounter in their own backyard. The head naturalist also hinted the last time I volunteered that she wanted me to do some talks about what it's like as a field technician and some talks on conservation.
The music that I like to dance to varies a lot. It usually depends on what mood I'm in or what sort of mood I want to portray in a piece or if a song resonates and just needs to be danced to. Lately I've been liking electro-swing music. I do like giving new music/songs a try. ^^
That sounds pretty cool. Well, maybe the cleaning of the tanks doesn't sound super fun, but no one said you were volunteering just for fun, so... xD
Never heard of electro swing before. I searched it up and am listening to some right now, it's pretty good, actually. :p
Snake poop is surprisingly stinky! XP at least in return I get to handle them and give them some "out of cage enrichment," which basically means we let them roam the main room when the center isn't too busy.
It's upbeat, even when it has sad lyrics, it still has a happy beat to it. In most songs. Some electro-swing songs just make you want to dance like no one's watching. :)
I love snakes, I kind of envy you for getting to handle them and be around them like that. :p
I don't dance, ever, but I get what you mean. Sometimes when I hear a really good song I almost feel like I want to dance, but I don't know how, so I just end up nodding my head along to it instead. X3
You should totally see if there are any places looking for volunteers, even if it's just for a few hours for one day a week, at a local nature center or museum? It's a great way to add skills to your resume as well as de stress from school work and the stresses of life itself!
This was the video that I saw. Maybe you can get some choreography moves from it.
If we ever get the chance again! :D
