I dont know much about Xsplit or wirecast, but I have used OBS which is nice. OBS is pretty basic screen capture that gets the job done. Pretty simple and easy to grasp once you figure it out, which isnt too hard. Xsplit, from what I've seen, is the fancier of the two. More for content creating like game streaming or video editing and what not. OBS might be the better choice because its much simpler and might be less taxing on your laptop.

I know nothing about streaming software, but know plenty about laptops.

The least complicated and likely-to-fuck-up one is my opinion. XD

I personally use Mishira. I've also tried the other two, but I've had trouble with them. Xsplit is too slow for my old PC, and it's also a free version, that means that if you want to use all the features, such as audio, you have to pay. OBS gave too many issues to configure, even with its simple aspect. It even made my PC slow and couldn't draw at all.

Mishira is easy to use to me, and it won't freeze my PC, as the ones I mentioned.
But you can use the one which best works in your laptop. Maybe the ones I mentioned above works better to you. I know most people (at least the ones I follow on Picarto) use OBS. -shrug-
