Advertising has Ruined Star Wars for Me
That doesn't mean I'm not going to see it at some point, but Disney's marketing campaign really ruined any real hype I had going into this. I mean, it just got annoying after awhile, and there was just no way that this irritation wasn't going to affect my enthusiasm for seeing the movie. Still, I'll probably see it sometime after Christmas. Also, no I don't really care about spoilers. I was never so invested in Luke and companies story to really wonder what happened to them afterward, so I'll just put any spoilers out of mind when I watch the movie.
PS: Yes I did see these films when I was really young. Just because you're exposed early doesn't mean you're going to have lots of warm fuzzies towards a franchise.

FA+

I know this was the first Star Wars film in a while but.... seriously?
Don't get me wrong, i am a capitalist, and generally I don't care if companies try to advocate for thier products. However, taking advantage of familial ties strikes me as a really low blow.
Those more than anything else wore down my patience. XD
But yes, the idea of spreading the magic of <insert brandname here> honestly feels common place to me. Though once again that might be my proximity to Disney; they really are the kings of generational marketing.
