Space... Pew pew...

Another day, another rant...
I spend so much time doing nothing these days. Yea... sure, we can say that time spent writing is productive, but when I never publish it anymore. Hell, I've spent hours working on ships in Space Engineers and never post them, or they don't end up working out and I just waste the next couple hours shooting at them and crashing stuff into it for no good reason.
There were days I'd sit around and do nothing but read for hours, or go play on WoW and pvp with my friends. These days, I don't even seem to do that anymore. Sure I read a book here or there on my cellphone when I find something on the kindle store, but that's rare now. Really not sure if it's just the lack of good books and stories or if I'm just losing interest.
I like scifi... I like space... I like the idea of just cruising around in a big tin can occasionally.
Saw Star Wars sunday. Was good, not what I expected, or wanted necessarily, but it was good.

Even worse still; the fact that those same companies blatantly neglect or even go so far as to not even attempt to replicate the awe inspiring feel of their first blockbuster game that set them in history. Instead, they would rather just focus on pretty graphics, outrageously over the top character designs, typical overused game modes, and my personal top hated thing that I fear we are still not out of the woods from: unbalanced, rage inducing, unadulterated and poorly maintained pvp systems.
As always: I still firmly believe we are still in, and for the foreseeable future, the dark ages of the video gaming industry. -n-
