SHATAIVIAN SAYS: Happy new year, all!
I don't normally make a new years resolution, but IllaRouge and I were talking last night and it made me realize that we've got a lot planned this year.
First of all, I gotta lose a few pounds. I've been lazy for a bit and its time to get back into a routine. So this semester I'll be doing a lot of swim conditioning and yoga, just to keep the blood flowing.
Next it's all about art! I'm doing so much more of it now. I'm in grad school now learning to integrate Creative Writing and Theater Arts into comic books to teach Biology. So this year I'll be working on my prototype comic. At the same time IllaRouge and I will be working on putting together, at last, our own webcomic. But in order to make sure our comic is perfect without giving away to much of the plot, I'll also be making a mini comic, one where I'll allow people to critique. These critiques will help us with our main comic. Next is cons. It's time to make some merch! I'm going to be doing commissions and making t-shirts, you name it. But it's time I start earning a bit of money for my work. And lastly, with that being said, real soon I'm going to be taking commissions here on FA. I've waited long enough and its time to take the plunge!
This next thing is a bit of a personal thing (as if the others in this list weren't). We're not sure if it will happen or not this year but I want to start getting serious and learn more about starting a family. We've been married for four and a half years now, together for seven total. The idea of bringing someone into this world and loving them has brought me great joy. But before we just jump into things, there's a lot to be considered like our health and etc. So before anyone gets too excited, we haven't made a decision yet. It's just going to be more on our minds than usual. (P.S. I'm writing this in the first place because its something I wanted to get off my chest. It fills me with great glee to think that one day I'll be a mom. But I'm not sure when that day will come... I've just been real emotional about it lately and wanted to share this with someone.)
