Reflections of 2015

Hello everyone! Happy 2016! I rarely ever post journals, so I figured I should at least update all of you with my boring life!
2015 was an interesting year. That's not to say it was a bad year, for me. In fact, it was a vast improvement over the year prior! This year, my mom was able to land a steady job, thus lifting any concerns of the two of us keeping a roof over our heads.
At the beginning of last year, I chose to return to college and resume my academic studies. It was a challenging school year, but I managed to come through on top (and not a C in sight)!
Just last month, I made the decision to go down to Los Angeles on my own to visit family, and to have dinner with my dear friend
. This was the first time I spent my own money to go on a trip. It also renewed my eagerness to leave home and live on my own, as I feel I'm long overdue for it.
But I digress! All in all, I'm happy where my life has brought me. I'm happy to be back in school. I'm happy to have the job that I do, and I'm EXCEEDINGLY happy to be graced with the friends I've made not just in this previous year, but in all the years prior. And yes, I'm referring to you guys! Thank you for befriending a silly old coot like me!
So, here's to 2016! Here's hoping it's a fruitful one! ^_^
