2016 and the past year

Oooh... A journal. I wonder what it says?!

I know that I don't write here often, but to those who are reading thank you. Thank you for being you and I hope you continue to be you in the future. :)
I'd like to take this time to reflect on the past year and to get certain things out there so that I don't take them with me in the new year. Because honestly, I'm probably more hurt about these than anyone else would be. Some might even roll their eyes and tell me to just get over it. So first I'd like to start off with, earlier this year a dog very special to my siblings and I passed away. So to say it was the last bit of my grandma (minus my grandpa) that we really had. I stated that I would be in debted to an artist who could find it in their hearts to do me a memorial piece gathering different references and as much text as I could. An artist offered to do said peice, but as time went on all I got was an apology for not having started it yet but that they would. It is now almost a year since her death and there is no art piece but the sad little chibi doodle I did on my wall. While I could understand that what I asked for would have been normally a very expensive, but I am still hurt that they never followed through on their end to something that was so deeply important to me.
With the new year.. I let it go.
The second is, I was in a few streams, and one stream I had won a freebie doodles... and was being offered a freebie doodle on another occasion. Which at one time the artist's computer crapped out which I never received the doodle from. The second time the artist was tired and said they'd do it the next stream to which I never got it that time either.
With the new year.. I let it go.
Those two things bothered me the most. Only because, I'm the type of girl that don't like being told I'm going to get something, and never get it. But.. to the new year, these hurtful events I will not be bringing with me. With that said...
I'm hoping that this year I will utilize my account and all the bases I got for free and actually USE them. I probably COULD draw if I really put some effort into it. However, the truth is, I don't have that strong of a drive to better it. However, I wouldn't mind really advancing my colouring/shading skills! So, this year I'm hoping to be putting out more adopts. :) I'm also hoping that this year, I'll be able to afford every damn character I lay my eyes on! I'm going to try to achieve being the best art whore I can be!! While I may not be able to afford the really expensive art... I do plan on commissioning some artists.
There's other not artsi things I would like to accomplish but I'll save that kind of entry for my blog. :)
