It's that sort of thinking that leads me to think I'll likely release my model shortly after she's completed. Though I expect not right away, as I want to 'establish' her, and her background and species initially.

Well if you check my gallery you can see that I still make some 3d stuff but not as much as I don't have enough time for it. Haven't done any animations since the one with Cynder & otter though.

Currently working on one long term commission and Judy Hopps model. I've been slightly more active on inkbunny. Not by much though. But that's where I post my stuff first usually.

Hm, I don't know if SFM files are compatible with Blender. Is that what I see some Sanic furries are using now because Blender is either too hard or don't wanna learn it? Ahaha, oh well. Man, I still wish I could use Blender...

I don't think you can get SFM files back into Blender. Yeah it seems that SFM is getting more and more attention. Blender isn't that hard to learn really. Plenty of tutorials and stuff around. And animating there is much easier than in SFM. Or maybe it's just because I don't know how to use SFM properly. In theory you can get pretty good results with it too but it depends a lot on the character quality/features. One problem being that you are limited to what the creator of the character decided to include in it. For example Cynder has shapekeys for her holes which were the right size for the Spyro I had planned but if you try to stick anything larger in there you will get the not so nice clipping effect that is often present in SFM animations.

watching people animate in SFM makes me cry. there are no kind of constraints setups or anything, just some basic IK chains. when realtime PBR viewport rendering gets better, blender will get much more use from these SFM peeps.

Yep it's quite terrible. I tried it for fun. (wasn't fun) But somebody exported a working version of my cynder model for it so if someone wants to make their animation process painful who am I to stop them? :) I guess most people are just too lazy to learn Blender's ui.

Some feature may not work properly on those though but feel free to do so. They are kinda old and crappy models though. :)
