oh goodness. I have seen Mran a few times at some EFs. I think I remember your hubby, too.

back when we (me and Dreamfox) decided to drive there through the night. started at 2100, arrived at the consite at 3 in the morning, took a nap, and then we saw that the consite wasn't open until 1400. so we took off to the camping lot to wait it out there.

(08:20) the guy with the two huskies, I think from netherlands, had some curious to weird ideas about how to live with two sled dogs. he was often busy pushing them down into submission, frustrating the poor dogs to no end. while claiming to "be friends with his dogs" all the time. also, tried to convince one of the artists that disney's way of adding huge chins to big cats is like in nature, while actually it was Disney's way to enhance the expressions... staggered away with an empty sketchbook later.
(08:40) here I was trying to make sense of conbadges. the concept wasn't new, roleplaying cons use them too. but there they are not adorned with individual art... I came to the conclusion that being the only black-maned lion character at the con was a good idea. :)
when the super-soakers were unwrapped, the mundane folks at the back of the camping lot were finally weirded out. a family on bikes passed us without any side glance at us of any sort.
(09:55) the baldy guy is H'leven, who founded the Mephit Mini Con (MMC) a wee bit later. after some to and fro the con ended up occupying the old castle where EF7 was held. the other guy is Skunki. I'm still friends with both of them. :)
(15:50) here you can see the bottom end of my car poking out: the yellow, slightly patinized thing. I became somewhat famous for driving them old Fords here in germany...
(16:00) the stout guy in the blue tee is Dreamfox. used to provide the furries in our area with furry comics and stuff for many a year.
(36:50) drawing like crazy, making use of the atmosphere and inspiration and the not having to pack up for every meal (I draw stuff on our dinner table). :) we either distributed across the vicinity, or gathered at one of the large camping tables to molest some unsuspecting furry's sketchbook.
(37:00) the pet auction was initiated because the organisators had miscalculated how much foodstuffs would cost and went over the budget. all in all we managed to avoid any depts for the organisators. :)
(44:50) fursuitwalks across town have later become a thing, actually. :)

I tried organizing a bird photoshoot two years ago, but it didn't work due to time shifts in the schedule. And this year I won't have time to plan it, because I'll have some shifts for the Press Relations again. But if there is a photoshoot, I'd be happy to be part of it.
